Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a form of therapy where practitioners use gentle touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. Using a light touch, a CST practitioner uses his or her hands to evaluate the client by gently feeling various locations of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord. Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system.

Benefits can include relief of symptoms of stress or tension, alleviate chronic pain, and promote relaxation.

Cathy is trained in CST. If you have questions about the whether you would benefit from this treatment type, contact her or ask at your next appointment.
